Fashion
design is the applied art dedicated to the design of
clothing and lifestyle accessories created within the
cultural and social influences of a specific time. This
includes all designs worn to create a statement about
the individual or group of individuals.
Fashion designers don’t just design clothes,
they often predict and create trends and market designs.
This process begins with drawing sketches by hand
or on a computer, selecting the fabrics and colours
and trying out ideas by pinning them onto a dummy.
